LED Lash FAQ | Lash Atelier
Clear answers for lash artists using Lash Atelier’s professional LED lash system, adhesives and equipment.
How does an LED lash system work?
Our professional LED lash system uses a focused 395–400 nm UVA light source to cure compatible adhesive on demand. Use the lamp only as directed, with appropriate protective equipment and the client’s eyes fully closed throughout treatment.
What makes LED lash adhesive different?
LED lash adhesive is cured with a compatible LED lamp instead of relying only on ambient conditions. This gives trained artists more control over curing and can support efficient application and consistent retention.
What safety precautions should lash artists follow?
The Point G lamp operates at 395–400 nm with adjustable 5W–20W output. Follow all manufacturer instructions, keep the client’s eyes fully closed, direct the light only toward the adhesive area and wear the included UV400 protective eyewear. Check applicable professional standards and avoid use when contraindicated.
Can LED lash adhesive cause irritation or allergies?
Like other professional lash adhesives, LED-curable formulas may contain cyanoacrylates and other ingredients capable of causing irritation or allergic reactions. A low-fume formula does not mean allergy-free. Review the ingredient list and safety documentation, assess client suitability and discontinue use if a reaction occurs.
How can I check whether my lash adhesive contains hydroquinone?
Check the product’s ingredient information and request its current Safety Data Sheet (SDS). If you are unsure, ask the brand or manufacturer for written confirmation for that specific adhesive. An SDS is not necessarily a complete ingredient list, so an ingredient’s absence from it alone does not confirm that the product is free of it.

How long can retention last?
Retention varies with application technique, natural lash growth, aftercare and the individual client. When applied correctly, our LED lash adhesives are designed to support strong, reliable retention between appointments.
How much adhesive should I use?
Use the minimum amount needed for a secure, clean attachment and follow the instructions for your adhesive and lamp. Excess adhesive can extend curing time and make removal more difficult.
How quickly does the adhesive cure?
Typical curing time is approximately 1–2 seconds with a compatible LED lash lamp. Actual curing time depends on the adhesive, lamp setting, working distance and the amount of product used.
Which lash styles work with LED adhesive?
LED lash adhesive can be used for classic, YY, W, premade, promade and handmade volume applications when the products and technique are compatible.
Is professional training recommended?
Yes. LED lash application requires sound lash-extension fundamentals, proper equipment setup and safe working practices. Explore our private training options or contact us at infolashatelier@gmail.com.
How does LED adhesive perform in different environments?
Because curing is activated by a compatible lamp, LED lash adhesive can offer greater consistency when ambient humidity varies. Retention still depends on correct application, client aftercare and natural lash growth.
Will your adhesive work with every LED lash lamp?
Compatibility depends on the adhesive’s formulation, the lamp’s wavelength and its output. Confirm that your equipment and adhesive are compatible, and follow the manufacturer’s recommended settings before use.
What product documentation is available?
The Point G UV LED lash lamp includes a Certificate of Conformity and is represented as RoHS and EMC/CE compliant. Contact us if you need product documentation or have questions about professional use.
What does RoHS compliance mean?
RoHS refers to restrictions on certain hazardous substances used in electrical and electronic equipment. It does not replace product-specific operating instructions, protective eyewear or a professional safety assessment.
Why does product documentation matter?
Clear product specifications and compliance documentation help professionals make informed purchasing decisions and establish appropriate operating procedures for their services.
Can I explain the system to my clients?
Yes. Explain how the system works, describe your protective measures and answer questions accurately. Avoid guarantees about allergies, UV exposure or medical safety that are not supported by product-specific evidence.
Where can I find setup instructions?
Watch our Point G UV LED lash lamp setup guide for a step-by-step installation walkthrough.
